Privacy

DMV Frontpage is designed to be useful without requiring a reader account. We collect only the information needed to operate the publication, understand basic usage and provide features a reader chooses to use. We do not sell reader data.

Site usage and referrals

Our hosting and application infrastructure may process standard technical request information needed to deliver and secure the site. DMV Frontpage may also record outbound link activity in aggregate so we can understand which publishers and stories readers choose to visit.

Referral measurement is used to improve curation and demonstrate that DMV Frontpage sends traffic back to original publishers. It is not intended to create personal advertising profiles.

Information you choose to provide

If you choose to submit information through a contact, newsletter or other voluntary form, we use that information for the purpose described with the form, such as responding to a message or delivering a requested publication. We do not require an account to read public stories.

Third-party publishers

Aggregated headlines and images link directly to the original publisher. Once you follow an outbound link, that publisher's website, cookies and privacy practices apply. DMV Frontpage does not control those third-party practices.

Service providers

We use infrastructure and software providers to host the site, store publication data and operate site features. Those providers process information on our behalf under their own service and security terms.

Your choices

You may contact DMV Frontpage with a privacy question or a request concerning information you previously submitted. If a newsletter or other recurring communication is enabled, it will include an unsubscribe or equivalent opt-out mechanism.

DMV Frontpage is an independent regional publication and discovery platform covering Washington, DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia.
